Mr. Cao's practice focuses on commercial dispute resolution.  Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Cao was in the management team of an IT software multinational enterprise.  He is very familiar with the full life cycle of a multi-national company.  He had advised M&A, compliance, labout issues, liquidation and VIE structure related matters for many companies. He is a skillful negotiator and veteran consultant for corporate management matters, for he can combine legal issues with business goals perfectly.  

Mr. Cao graduated from Remin University with a bachlor degree and later University of Leeds with an LLM degree. He is a member of China Academy of Managment Science.  He had published several books covering topics on labour, human resources and managment issues.

• Advised on an EU software company's VIE structure in PRC;  the structure has been in real practice for 6 years;

• Advised on data compliance issues of an EU software management firm, involving GDPR regulations and personnel management;

• Advised an EU digitalized information company in connection with its acquisition of PRC company, including personnel transfer, business merge and risk manegament;

• Advised on the whole liquidation process in China of an EU digitalized information group;

• Advised on a US information company in connection with the evaluation system of its research and development department; 

• Advised on an EU firm in connection with its personnel management, including the umbrella structure of the system; (to better avoid lawsuits from employees) 

• Advised a PRC company in connection with its IP risk management issues; trademarks, names and anti-infringement issues;

• Advised a Taiwan Medical Company in connection with PRC & EU market permits and regulation envrionment.

Litigation

• Represented an individual in a labor dispute with an Asian retailor company, won;

• Represented a US medicine company in a RMB 30 million patent dispute with a former technology expert; won; 

• Represented an EU company in a labor arbitration case with a former employee; won.
